Garden advise from Mel of “square foot gardening”. After many trips to home depot and misc. garden centers, we have mix and boxes built. Today I spent the morning out with the seedlings to ‘harden their hearts”. They will go in the ground soon. rhubarb is in the ground up front and we need to build boxes for front blue berries. The seeds below are for several types of greens, peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, many tomatoes, cilantro, onions, rosemary, thyme, catnip.

In March, flowers popped up all over our front yard. Flowers we didn’t even plant! We are master gardeners.

Janie decided the kitchen floor was way too gross. She did all the work. I (Brad) did a little troubleshooting and posed with the nail gun. Stewart helped too.

We visited Dana and Dan in February. They’re way ahead of us in the chicken department. I’m pretty sure Dan’s holding Clucky there. Clucky is a very bad chicken. This photo was taken almost 2 months ago. By now Clucky was probably eaten by a weasel or a marten or Dan or Dana.

Also, Dan and Dana do yard work on a much larger scale.
